Bryony Cleall — alongside her twin sister Poppy — was selected for the 2023 Women’s Six Nations squad. Based in Norwich, she studied Geography and Sport & Exercise Science at Loughborough University before completing a PGCE in Physical Education at Exeter University.
She served as Director of Rugby at Harris City Academy Crystal Palace, where she established the first girls’ state-school rugby academy in partnership with Saracens. Bryony played club rugby for Saracens before joining Wasps for the 2021/22 season, and later Harlequins. She made her England debut in the 2019 Six Nations against Ireland, coming off the bench and scoring a try — earning a professional contract for the 2019/20 season. Her educational background and stories of battling back from injury make her a compelling and inspirational public speaker.
“Bryony's educational background, coupled with her stories around battling injuries, gives her lots to say as an inspirational public speaker.”
